Already known for his satays – savory skewers of beef, lamb belly, chile prawns – and fun, adventurous dishes like roasted pig tails, chef Bryant Ng’s traditional beef rendang over coconut rice is the must order here. It rivals all New York versions, elevated with Niman Ranch short ribs and hints of peanut, anchovy, ginger, and lemongrass. And at $16, it’s large enough to be somebody’s dinner. Try leaving room for dessert: you’ll wake up dreaming about their kaffir lime custard with lychee ($5).
