Mark Matsuura, Chief Financial Officer
I graduated from UCLA with a degree in Business Economics and Accounting. As a CPA, I paid my dues at one of the world’s largest professional services firms, Deloitte & Touche LLP, and devoted myself to developing their restaurant practice and serving their clients. Realizing that I wanted to be involved in the growth and development of small businesses, I decided to leverage my passion and expertise in the restaurant business at a more impactful level.
I met Bryant for the first time on a seemingly unremarkable day sometime in late 2010. We had a beer or two and talked casually about his plans to open a place of his own. The timing of our meeting couldn’t have been more appropriate. I had recently graduated from Le Cordon Bleu Los Angeles and spent some time in the kitchen at Spago Beverly Hills and as a Manager at Hillstone Restaurant Group. After our meeting, I decided to join the team – and I’ve been around ever since.
The Spice Table is an incredible place because of its honest and consistent commitment to the food and the dining experience of its guests. It’s a restaurant with a team of passionate individuals who will continue to have a meaningful impact on the industry for years to come.
